Tips for the lazy festival goer

festie

Festivals are said to be one of this nation’s favourite past times. Bulmers goes on about it in their telly ad, we constantly see pictures of various attention seeking celebs at festivals in the papers (we all remember the image of Kate Moss in her wellies), many of your mates bang on about ‘the best fest ever’ which are normally ‘the non commercial ones man, like Secret Garden Party and Glastonbury when you could still sneak in’ but an article in the Metro yesterday stated that it could cost up to £600 to spend the weekend there, which got us a-thinking, there must be a cheaper way!
So we have developed a guide to a cheap and lazy festival.

1) If you haven’t got any wellies borrow your Dad’s/older bros boots (or a tramps just give him some cash for them) buy some bin bags (you will need spares) and some string, put your booted foot in the bin bag and tie round the top of bag to leg with string. Wear with Plain Lazy tee.

2) Take emergency rations with you, like bread, cereal, beer and any other breakfast bits you can fit in to your bag – saves buying a £5 ‘part’ pork sandwich.

3) Find someone to get a lift to the festival with, someone who can also take you home. Someone who won’t leave you at the festival when you meet them at the car caked in mud accompanied by your new crusty mate called Stig.

4) If there is a band you really want to see get there really early – like at the beginning of the day, stand at the front until your band comes on, even if it means starving, not visiting the toilet (not such
a bad thing at most fests) but please make sure you take enough beer. Show your dedication.

5) Take a sun lounger.

6) Drink beer for breakfast – that’s the way of the Gods/Champions and winners. Do not dispute but remember to drink responsibly…

7) At the end of the festival look out for tents people have left, make sure they have left them and aren’t coming back, take them and sell them on.
